Yes, this sauce is certainly worth purchasing. It brings extreme heat but has a great flavor to match. It will last you a good amount of time given that you don’t need to use too much of it. Overall, it is a fantastic sauce, though not for the faint hearted. It is certainly worth the hype surrounding it, and we can see why so many celebrities struggle with the heat of this sauce!

The Last Dab XXX hot sauce is one of the most popular sauces featured on Hot Ones. It is notoriously known to be seriously hot, and the majority of celebrities do not do well with handling the heat.

When it comes to eating the last chicken wing on the show, it is tradition to place a dab of this sauce on top of the chicken. As the name suggests, only a dab is used, any more than this is said to be extremely hot.

Hot Ones Last Dab XXX Hot Sauce

We have split our review of the Hot Ones Last Dab XXX into different specification sections.

Ingredients

To begin with, let’s take a look at the ingredients. When looking at the ingredients list, there is not too much difference between this new Last Dab sauce in comparison to the older version.

However, the subtle differences do make a difference to the flavor. Here is a full list of the ingredients - pepper X, chocolate pepper X, peach pepper X, distilled vinegar, ginger root, turmeric, coriander, cumin, and dry mustard.

As you can see, there are not a lot of ingredients that are featured in this sauce. This is great because you know exactly what is in it, and there is no fuss with the ingredients. It also ensures that the sauce can be consumed by a wider variety of people too.

If you are unsure of what pepper X is, it is currently the hottest pepper in the world. It was created by a pepper breeder called Smokin’ Ed. The pepper has a heat level of a whopping 3 million SHU!

Given that there are three versions of this pepper, you know that this hot sauce is going to be very hot.

Flavor

When looking at the flavor of this sauce, we were quite surprised. While it is very hot, it does have a great amount of flavor. It is not just here that it provides, and you can really taste the cumin and ginger root alongside the peppers. As it is such a strong sauce, we would only recommend consuming very small amounts of it at a time.

After all, it is called The Last Dab for a reason! Overall, we enjoyed the flavor of this hot sauce. We would recommend using this sauce as an accompaniment to chicken wings, in a curry, or added to stir fry. However, as it is so strong, you will want to use it sparingly.

Smell

The smell of this sauce was interesting. As it is such a hot sauce, as you would imagine, it smelled hot too. It resembles the smell of a very hot pepper. In addition to this, you can also smell the other ingredients added to this sauce, such as the mustard and cumin, which does add to the flavor and smell overall. Heat Intensity

As we have already discussed, this sauce is hot. Even if you love hot sauce and can handle the heat, you are still going to feel the burn with this sauce. After only a few seconds of consuming it, the heat hits the back of your throat and consumes your mouth. It’s intense, and this is something you will need to prepare yourself for.

This is why you should use it sparingly. Even if you have only consumed a small amount of this sauce, you will still feel the burn for around 15 minutes after eating it. As this hot sauce uses the hottest peppers in the world, it is one of the hottest sauces that can be purchased.

There are not many other sauces that are able to rival this when it comes to heat and intensity! Being ranked over 2,000,000 on The Scoville Scale is no joke, and this sauce means business.

Consistency

Finally, let’s talk about the consistency of this sauce. The overall consistency is important as it can have an impact on how much you enjoy the sauce. Similarly to the previous Last Dab sauce, this is very thick in its consistency.

It’s one you will have to tap out of the glass bottle, rather than it pouring out. In addition to this, it does not have a thin consistency. It does feature small chunks of pepper which really adds to the overall taste and experience of trying this hot sauce.

We personally enjoyed the bits within the hot sauce, however, this is not something that everyone enjoys. It is great that the consistency is so thick, as this ensures that you are not using too much of this sauce. You can place a tiny amount on chicken wings or in a curry, without accidentally pouring too much of the bottle in!

Cost

Given that this is a famous sauce, it is more expensive in comparison to other sauces. However, it is limited in its numbers, and it is highly sought after. As a result, we think that it is certainly worth the cost. As you will only use a small amount of the sauce, you will not have to worry about using it up too quickly either. It will last for a good amount of time, and longer than your average hot sauce.

Is Hot Ones Last Dab XXX Hot Sauce Worth Purchasing?

Yes, this sauce is certainly worth purchasing. It brings extreme heat but has a great flavor to match. It will last you a good amount of time given that you don’t need to use too much of it. Overall, it is a fantastic sauce, though not for the faint hearted. It is certainly worth the hype surrounding it, and we can see why so many celebrities struggle with the heat of this sauce!
