Queen Majesty Hot Sauce Review

The Queen Majesty hot sauce is a Caribbean-style hot sauce. The flavor is unique yet exotic, with a twist that you won’t be able to imagine until you try it for yourself. It includes Scotch Bonnets and Ginger flavors, putting it in a different league altogether from other hot sauces.

Hot sauce can be tricky to get right, and no two are the same. You need to find the perfect flavor and spice ratio for you.

Today we’ll be taking you through our review of the Queen Majesty hot sauce to give you an indication of whether it’s a good option for you.

Is Queen Majesty Hot Sauce Any Good?

In our opinion, the Queen Majesty hot sauce is a lovely twist on usual hot sauces that we don’t often see. The unique blend of spices and flavors gives you an amazing flavor for all of your dishes that need an extra kick.

Many hot sauces focus too much on the spiciness of hot sauces rather than the flavor as well. However, we’re happy to report that the Queen Majesty sauce isn’t one of these hot sauces, giving us a great spicy kick as well as a fresh Caribbean flavor.

We’ve broken our review down into three categories below to pinpoint whether we think that the Queen Majesty hot sauce needs improvement in any of these vital areas.

First of all, the flavor of this hot sauce is not going to be to everyone’s taste. Much like any other sauce, some will love the tangy flavor while others won’t like it as much. The ingredients of the Queen Majesty hot sauce are as follows:

White vinegar, sweet onions, bell peppers, scotch bonnet peppers, lemon and lime juice, ginger root, olive oil, salt, and spices.

Scotch bonnet peppers are known for being fruity and sweet with a fiery spice level, so pairing them with ginger was a stroke of genius. The sweet warmth of ginger pairs perfectly with the hot peppers, leaving this hot sauce sweet, fruity, and just spicy enough.

Add the sweet onions into the mix with the bitterness of lemon and lime juice, you have a hot sauce that goes deeper than just a surface-level spice. We’re real fans of this hot sauce and the flavor that it offers all of our milder dishes.

If you’re a fan of sweeter sauces, the Queen Majesty could be ideal for you. On first taste, you’re welcomed by the sweetness, quickly followed by a hot kick at the back of your throat.

Unlike many hot sauces, you won’t be overpowered by the taste of vinegar with the Queen Majesty sauce either.

We like this hot sauce so much because it’s a milder eating experience than other hot sauces that really pack a punch in terms of both flavor and spice.

The Queen Majesty hot sauce is different from many other hot sauces in terms of its consistency, as it is not smooth or runny. Instead, all of the ingredients are chopped and left chunky within the sauce so that you can enjoy eating the hot sauce further.

Other hot sauces are smooth and will blend right into your sauces and marinades. However, the Queen Majesty hot sauce is thicker and contains chunks of pepper, onion, and ginger. This makes it amazing for marinades, rubbing over meat before cooking, and a finishing touch to your meals.

This consistency won’t be up to everyone’s taste, as some prefer a smooth sauce instead of a slightly chunky sauce. If this relates to you, you might want to look for a different hot sauce with a different consistency.

Spiciness and Scoville Level

Scotch bonnet peppers are one of the spicier peppers out there, with a Scoville level between 100,000 and 350,000 SHU. This is the same as a habanero pepper, which is another incredibly hot pepper.

However, just because scotch bonnet peppers are used doesn’t mean that this is an incredibly hot sauce. If you look at the ingredients list, scotch bonnet peppers are well in the middle of the list rather than at the top.

So, the only spicy ingredient is not used as much as it could be. This makes the Queen Majesty hot sauce more of a mild to medium sauce, with a rating of 9,000 SHU. This is similar, if not less spicy to sriracha sauce.

If you’re a powerful hot sauce lover that needs their tongue to be burning after their meals, you might be let down by the Queen Majesty hot sauce. The fact that the bottle states that this is a scotch bonnet hot sauce is quite misleading when you taste it.

Where To Buy Queen Majesty Hot Sauce

You can buy Queen Majesty Hot Sauces online at Amazon, and there is plenty of choice if the scotch bonnet and ginger hot sauce isn’t calling out to you. There is also a red habanero black coffee hot sauce or a jalapeno tequila lime sauce.

There is also an option to purchase all three as sample sizes so that you can taste them all.

The price of these hot sauces is respectable at around $10 to $15 for a 5 fluid ounce bottle. Compared to some other hot sauces on the market, this is a great price. If you bought it hoping for a hot sauce and received a more mild sauce, this might cushion the blow a little bit.

Is Queen Majesty Hot Sauce Worth It?

For the flavor and spice combination, we would definitely recommend the Queen Majesty hot sauce to anyone who wanted a milder, flavorful experience. The price and flavor are both positives for this hot sauce.

However, be wary if you’re looking for a spicy hot sauce, as this might not be the best option for you. Similarly, this is quite a chunky sauce in comparison to other hot sauces, so this might not be up to your personal taste.

With that being said, if you like a chunky sauce packed with flavor, we love the Queen Majesty hot sauce.
